Former inspector Terry Phenix, 86 years, passed away on 14 November 2022. Terry worked across Sheffield and retired as inspector in charge of the dog section. After retirement he went to live in Norfolk. Funeral details will be circulated when known.

Former Inspector Alan Bradford, 88 years, passed away on 6 October 2022. He was in the RAF for 3 years as a Senior Aircraftman Air Frame Fitter, before joining Sheffield City Police in 1957. He served at West Bar, Woodseats, CID at Water Lane, Hackenthorpe and retired after 30 years in 1987 as an inspector at Attercliffe. His funeral took place on Tuesday 25 October 2022.
Former inspector Ian Walker, 71 years, passed away on 26 September 2022. Ian served across the Force including in Traffic. There will not be a traditional funeral service but donations can be made in his memory to Blood Cancer UK or Sheffield Hospitals Charity, specifying the Haematology Department.

Former chief superintendent Peter Hale, 73 years, passed away this morning (24 April 2022) after a long illness. Peter worked across the Force and retired as the head of Operations & Traffic and was the driving force behind the acquisition of the Operations Complex and the purchase of the first Force helicopter. Peter's funeral took place on Thursday 12 May 2022.

Rebecca started her career at West Bar Police Station, before working at various police stations across Sheffield and finishing in the Domestic Violence Unit at Rotherham. Former sergeant 1503 Graham 'Pete' Gospel, 78 years, has passed away. Pete joined Cambridge County Force in 1964 before transferred to West Yorkshire (later became South Yorkshire) in 1969. Most of Graham's time was served in Doncaster Road Traffic and Doncaster Town Centre. Pete's funeral took place on Tuesday 8 March 2022.

Former superintendent Gordon Fletcher, 92 years, passed away on the 10 January. He joined Doncaster Borough as a cadet, but left to join the armed services and served as a military policeman in the Far East, before returning to once again serve in S.Y Gordon served in Doncaster Rotherham and Sheffield. There will be no funeral as Gordon has donated his body to science.
