Former Chief Inspector Kenneth McKaw, 88 years, passed away on 30 December 2021. He worked in Rotherham and Doncaster.
 
Former detective sergeant Dave Eustace, 80 years, passed away on 30 December 2021. Dave worked at Attercliffe, West Bar and other police stations in Sheffield.

Former constable Keith Bradley, 79 years, passed away suddenly on 22 December 2021. Keith served at Doncaster and Thorne. Keith's funeral took place on Friday 14 January 2022.

Former constable Peter Lakin, 71 years, passed away on 20 December 2021. Peter served in Doncaster and had to take retirement in 1994 after a police road accident. Peter's funeral took place on Thursday 20 January 2022.

Former detective sergeant Jeff Richards, 76 years, passed away on 20 December 2021. Jeff served at Bentley and in Rotherham. Jeff's funeral took place on Tuesday 25 January 2022.

Former inspector Ian Selwood, 74 years, passed away on 11 December 2021. Ian worked at Woodseats, West Bar and HQ CID. Madeleine informs me that Ian requested a small, quiet funeral so details will not be circulated.

Former detective sergeant Sid Fielden, 88 years, passed away on 15.12.21. Sid served in Barnsley, Doncaster and Training. He was well known for his association with Yorkshire County Cricket Club. Sid's funeral took place on Tuesday 4 January 2022. 

Former sergeant Don Clark, 85 years, passed away this morning (7.12.21) in Barnsley Hospital. Don worked in the Barnsley area and at Ecclesfield. Don's fineral took place on 7 January 2022.

Former inspector Martyn Poole, 72 years, passed away yesterday (6.12.21). Martin worked at Rotherham and in Scenes of Crime. Martyn has donated his body to the University of Sheffield. The family will be having a memorial service in the future.

Former detective constable Keith Richardson, 71 years, passed away on 5 December 2021. Keith worked at Barnsley and Wombwell. Keith's funeral took place on Wednesday 22 December 2021.

Former detective constable Robert (Bob) Fox passed away on 17 November 2021. Bob worked in Barnsley and with the Regional Crime Squad. His funeral took place on Monday 13 December 2021.

Former constable Alan Leverton, 80 years, passed away on 22 November 2021. Alan worked at Attercliffe on A Group and on the area.

Former chief inspector Ray Etheridge passed away on 21 November 2021. Ray worked across the Force and was a well known Traffic officer. Ray's funeral took place on Tuesday 14 December 2021.

Former sergeant David Hedley Roberts, 93 years , has passed away. Hedley worked in Rotherham. His funeral took place on Tuesday 23 November.

Former constable Debbie Reddish (nee Hancock), 59 years, passed away on 20 October 2021. I know Debbie worked at West Bar. Debbie's funeral took place on Wednesday 10 November 2021.

Former sergeant 798 John Wyke, 73 years, passed away on 21 October 2021 after a short illness. John worked at Attercliffe, West Bar and CJAD. John's funeral took place on Thursday 11 November 2021.

Former constable Paul Barrow, 62 years, passed away on 19 October 2021. Paul worked at West Bar, Fir Vale and Deepcar. Paul's funeral took place at 1.00pm on Friday 5 November 2021.

Former inspector Albert Clack, 84 years, passed away on 16 October 2021, after a long fight with cancer. Albert worked at Attercliffe, Woodseats, and the Charge Office. 

Former constable Neil Armstrong, 74 years, passed away on 9 October 2021. Neil worked at Rotherham. His funeral took place on Thursday 28 October 2021.

Former constable John "Muggy" Muggleston, passed away recently in Rotherham District General Hospital from Covid. 

Former constable Noel Rex Barker, 87 years, passed away on 1 October 2021. Noel worked at Woodseats.

Former constable John Harvey Robbins, 72 years, passed away on 15 September 2021. John worked at Attercliffe in uniform and Plain Clothes.

Former inspector David Kennedy, 67 years, passed away 28 August 2021 after suffering with Motor Neurone disease. Dave worked across the Force after starting at Goldthorpe. He did not wish to have a funeral.

Former constable Mick Clarke passed away on 25 August 2021. Mick worked in Barnsley Traffic and the Operations Room. His funeral took place on Friday 10 September 2021.

Former sergeant John Fryer, 81 yesrs,passed away on 19 July 2021. John served at Attercliffe, Traffic, and retired from HQ Antecedents department. He represented the Force at table tennis. John's funeral took place on Friday 3 September 2021.
 
Former Inspector Keith Burgin, 97 years, has passed away. He worked in Sheffield and is remembered fondly as an inspector in the Charge Office. Keith's funeral took place on Friday 3 September 2021.
 
Former sergeant John Trevor “Burt” Lancaster, 87 years, has passed away recently following a battle with lung caner. I know he served at Woodseats. His funeral took place on Monday 23 August 2021.
 
Former Chief Superintendent Irwin Nettleship has passed away. Irwin finished his service in the Metropolitan Police but kept his home in Tickhill, near Doncaster. He was not a member of our branch of NARPO. His funeral took place on Friday 20 August 2021.
 
Former constable Terry Fox passed away on 28 July 2021. Terry worked mostly at Barnsley. Terry's funeral took placed on 23 August 2021.
 
Former superintendent Terry Partridge, 78 years, passed away on 27 July 2021 after a battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Terry worked across the Force but did the majority of his service in Sheffield and in CID. Terry's funeral took place on Thursday 12 August 2021.
 
Former detective inspector James (Jim) Gunn, 86 years, passed away on 14 July 2021. Jim spent most of his service in the Rotherham/Malby area. Jim's funeral took place on Friday, 6 August 2021.
 
Former sergeant Don Billups, 95 years, has passed away. Don served the majority of his time in Rotherham. His funeral took place on Thursday 29 July 2021.
 
Former PC Mick Molloy, 77 years, passed away on 4 July 2021. Mick spent the vast majority of his service in Barnsley. Mick's funeral took place on Wednesday 21 July 2021.
 
Former P.C. Alfred (Alf) Eaden passed away in June 2021. Alf spent the majority of his service in the Penistone/Dodworth area, after leaving the Navy. There was not a funeral, as it was Alf’s wish that his body be donated to medical science.

Former sergeant Mick Schofield, 96 years, passed away on 22 June 2021. Mick served at Rotherham in many roles, including Traffic and CID. He was a flight engineer on Halifax and Lancaster bombers during the war and flew over 60 missions across enemy territory. His funeral took place on Wednesday 14 July 2021.

Former chief inspector Peter Maguire, 86 years, passed away on 20 June 2021. Peter worked in Rotherham and Doncaster. His funeral took place on Tuesday 20 July 2021.

Former sergeant Tim Hudson, 68 years, passed away on 2 July 2021. Tim had been poorly for some time after suffering a stroke 5 years ago. He worked at Woodseats, Rotherham, Hammerton Road and Ecclesfield. Tim did not be have a usual formal funeral.

Former inspector Fred Burns, 83 years, passed away on 4 July 2021. Fred's funeral took place on Tuesday 27 July 2021.

Former PC Brian Thornhill, 83 years, passed away today (14.6.21). Brian worked at Woodseats and Hackenthorpe. Brian's funeral took place on Thursday 1 July 2021.

Former detective sergeant Peter Newman, 88 years, has passed away. Peter served at Woodseats, West Bar and Headquarters. Peter's funeral took place on on Monday 5 July 2021.

Former PC Alfred (Alf) Gerald Eaden, 74 years, passed away on 31 May 2021. Alf worked at Pensitone and Dodworth. He has donated his body to medical research therefore there will be no funeral.

Former PC John Constant Bogel, 84 years, has passed away. John worked at Rotherham. There are no details of his funeral at this time.

Former detective chief inspector Ray Leslie, 91 years, passed away on 3 April 2021. Ray worked at Attercliffe and HQ CID where he was responsible for setting up the first crime prevention department in 1964. He devised the 4D Special Agent initiative to combat crime against young people. An initiative that was rolled out across the country. Ray's funeral has already taken place.

Former PC 2609 Barry Morgan, 70 years, passed away, peacefully at home, on Saturday 15 May 2021. He served in Rotherham Traffic and the Force Driving School. Barry's funeral took place on Monday 7 June 2021.

Former PC John Foster, 66 years, has passed away. John worked mostly in the Barnsley area and in the Force Operations Room. John's funeral took place on Wednesday 21 April 2021.

Former chief inspector Gavin Kaye, 85 years, passed away on 29 March 2021. Gavin worked in Rotherham and at Attercliffe. Gavin's funeral took place on Tuesday 20 April 2021.

Former Inspector Tony Green, 71 years, passed away yesterday (14.3.21). Tony joined the police as a cadet in 1965 and as a PC served at Attercliffe in uniform, plain clothes and CID. He also served on DSG, Corporate Development at HQ and at Hackenthorpe/Moss Way. Tony's funeral took place on Wednesday 7 April 2021.

Former chief inspector Gerry Smalley, 82 years, passed away yesterday (11.3.21) in the Northern General Hospital. I am unsure of all of Gerry's career details but I think he worked in Training as well as elsewhere across Sheffield. He was a genuinely nice man. Gerry's funeral took place on 1 April 2021.

Former detective constable Joe Webb, 88 years, has passed away. Joe worked almost all his career in the Barnsley area. His funeral took place on Friday 12 March 2021.

Former constable Mick Rumble, 64 years, passed away on 21 February 2021. Mick worked at Doncaster. Mick's funeral took place at 11.00am on Monday 15 March 2021.

Former detective constable Pete Muir, 60 years, passed away on 23 February 2021. Pete served at Doncaster. His funeral  took place on 12 March 2021.

Former PC Roger Cuckson, 77 years, passed away on 14 February 2021. Roger worked at Hammerton Road. Roger served in the Royal Navy before joining Sheffield & Rotherham Constabulary. He was a lovely fella and a good cop. Roger is not having a funeral as such - just going by himself to the crematorium. I think they call it a peace funeral. He wished for no mourners.

Former sergeant Malcolm France, 82 years, passed away on 16 February 2021. Malcolm worked most of his career in Rotherham. Malcolm's funeral is at 10am Friday 26 February at Rotherham crematorium. For the info of all his funeral procession will be leaving his home address on Hawthorne Avenue at Maltby at 9.30am for those wishing to stand outside the house.

Former PC Jim Whelan passed away on 28 January 2021. He was 82 years of age. He served at Attercliffe and in Sheffield Traffic. His funeral took place on 16 February 2021.

Former Chief Inspector Colin Bell, 77 years, passed away on Sunday 7 February. Colin worked across Sheffield and Barnsley in uniform and CID. Colin's funeral was held on Thursday 25 February 2021. 

Former detective sergeant Glynn Connor, 75 years, has passed away. Glynn worked across Sheffield and was a CID man for most of his career. He was a very keen golfer. Glynn's funeral took place on 8 March 2021.

Former inspector Peter Smith, 78 years, has passed away. Peter worked at Attercliffe, Hackenthorpe and HQ. I worked with him in Career Development for some time. He was a lovely man and a very good runner if I remember correctly. Peter's funeral took place on Friday 26 February 2021.

Former Inspector Frank Coxon, 80 years, passed away on 14 January 2021. Frank served at Barnsley and Attercliffe. No details are available regarding his funeral. Frank's funeral took place on Monday 8 February 2021.

Former Inspector Brian Worthington, 87 years, passed away peacefully on 20 January 2021 at his nursing home in Nottingham surrounded by his family. Brian served in Sheffield and HQ. Brian's funeral took place on 10 February 2021.

Former PC 264 Ken Hirst, 76 years, passed away peacefully on the 6 January 2021. He spent all his service at Woodseats. For many years he was Community Constable in Abbeydale/Nether Edge/ Ecclesall areas where he was very much liked and respected. He had a very good relationship with minority groups in the area. Soon after retirement Ken and his wife Lynn moved to live in Skegness.

Former Constable 1730 John William Ord, 89 years, passed away on 3 January 2021. John was a native of Carlisle, but had Scottish connections. After being demobbed he joined the West Riding Constabulary, about 1954, and was posted to Knaresborough. He served at Barnsley, Penistone Sub Division, where he covered Higham and Barugh Green, based at Dodworth but working from his home at Higham Police House. After amalgamation he moved to B1 to the Collators Office. Then taking up a similar position in Wombwell CID Office. In his final years in the service he worked in the Courts, on prisoner escort etc. He retired in 1986. John's funeral took place on Tuesday 2 February 2021.
