Part-Time Business and Communications Support Administrator

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a good knowledge of social media, websites and IT to provide general communications, marketing and business support for the NARPO National Office at Wakefield.

The role is part time 24 hours per week salary circa £21,000 [FTE]

The post holder is responsible for:

Website and Social Media

Provide communication support and ensure NARPO’s Website, Facebook,
Twitter and any other social media accounts are monitored and updated.

Write and update social media posts ensuring that they are current and
relevant, including designing e-newsletters with relevant content for
circulation to members.

Write and update website posts ensuring that the website remains current
and relevant including uploading articles/advertisements and other content
as necessary.

Administration

Arrange NEC meetings as directed and distribute and collate requirements
of the NEC members in liaison with booking agency.

Arrange any courses as directed by the NEC, including locating venues and
arranging appropriate speakers. Confirm attendee’s and delegates details
and provide
course programme, name badges and packs to all delegates.

Manage all aspects of the booking process of NARPO Villas by members.

Assist the DCEO in the organisation of the Annual Cenotaph Parade in
London including co-ordinating attendees.

Magazine

Assist in the production of NARPO News and provide relevant content
where appropriate.

Other

Provide telephone answering cover as required.

Provide cover for other functions as required.

Assist in the development of NARPO supplies.

Monitor stocks and delivery issues.

Order and source promotional material for use at Conferences
and other suitable venues/occasions.

Any other duties commensurate with the role and experience as directed
by the Chief Executive.

I am a retired Lincolnshire Police Officer.

I operate a company specialising in supplying Christmas decorations both commercially and to private individuals in the Sheffield area and its surrounds.
 
This is our third year of trading and we decorate amongst others The Crucible, The Lyceum and The Copthorne along with bars, restaurants and offices. There is a link to our website at the foot of the page which demonstrates some of the things we do.
 
Due to the seasonality of our business we don’t employ people all through the year, but are constantly looking out for staff who have the capacity to work on a day by day basis, who are reliable, honest physically fit and are reasonably adept at nothing more than what would equate to basic home maintenance.
 
We are looking to employ a bank of staff who can help us out when it’s convenient to them and in return we help pay for their Christmas.
 
Our busy periods (obviously) are November, the first two weeks of December and the beginning of January.
