Former sergeant Ian Gamble, 75 years, died aon Sunday 18 August 2019 at home having been ill for sometime. Ian retired as Sergeant with SYP serving in the Doncaster area, he played cricket for many years which he loved. Ian's funeral will take place at 12noon Monday 2 September 2019 at Rosehill Crematorium Doncaster. Afterwards at The Doncaster Golf Club, Bessacar. Family flowers only with a donation plate at the Crematorium for Prostate Cancer Research.
Former PC/DC 2161 Roy Shepherd died on 7 July 2019 at his home, after a long illness. Roy worked at Royston and Wombwell, before being posted to CID. He later joined No.3 RCS at the Sheffield Branch office, before subsequent moves to the National Crime Squad, the Serious and Organised Crime Agency and the National Crime Agency. Roy's funeral will take place on 28 August, 2019, at 11.00am, at the Wakefield Crematorium, Standbridge Lane, Kettlethorpe, Wakefield. After the service friends and family are invited to the Sandal Rugby Union Club, also on Standbridge Lane, at 12.30pm.
Former DC Alec Brown, 81 years, has passed away. Alec served in the old B Division in South Yorkshire and before that in West Riding Constabulary. Alec's funeral will be held at 11.30am on Tuesday 3 September 2019 at Barnsley Crematorium, and afterwards at Burntwood Court Hall, Brierley. Former PC 740 Ken Hall, 75 years has passed away. Ken served at Hammerton Road Police Station before moving to Somerset in the 1960's where he served in CID and Regional Crime Squad and retired at the rank of detective sergeant. His funeral took place at on Wednesday 7 August 2019.
Former PC Martin Boatman, aged 59 years, died suddenly on Thursday 25 July 2019 at home. He retired approximately 8 years having worked in Doncaster and Traffic Department. Martin's funeral will take place at 12 noon Thursday 22 August 2019 at Rosehill Crematorium Doncaster.all are welcome to join family and friends. Afterwards will be at Castle Park Rugby Ground Armthorpe Road Doncaster. It is to be family flowers only with donations to go in creating a garden in Martin's memory.

Former Superintendent Winnie Bishop passed away in a Sheffield nursing home on the 2 July 2019, aged 99 years. She was the oldest surviving former police officer member of Sheffield NARPO. Winnie's funeral took place on Wednesday 21 August 2019.
Former sergeant John Bidmead, 80 years, has passed away. He worked around the Doncaster District including town centre and Adwick, he retired as Sergeant. His funeral tool place on Wednesday 26 June 2019.
Roy Gilberthorpe, 74 years, passed away on 12 June 2019. Roy served in Rotherham, Maltby, Dinnington and West Bar. Roy's funeral took place on Monday 24 June 2019.
Former Inspector Barry Skillington, 82 years, passed away on 7 June 2019. His funeral took place on Wednesday 19 June 2019.
Former sergeant David Edward Pagdin, 82 years, passed away on 6 May 2019. At the time of his retirement he was serving at West Bar. Funeral details are unknown but it may have taken place already.
Former sergeant Roger Wilfred Sykes, 83 years died suddenly on Thursday 30 May 2019 in Doncaster Hospital after a short illness. He retired as Sergeant at Doncaster having worked in various posts around the district. There are no funeral details at present and will be circulated when known.
Retired Sgt Norman Coxall, he was 96yrs of age and a member of Rotherham NARPO. Norman served mainly at Rawmarsh sub division and retired whilst serving at Wath. Prior to joining the Police Norman served in the Navy and was one of the few remaining servicemen involved in the Arctic convoys. For those who knew and worked with Norman he will be remembered fondly. His funeral took place on 14 may 2019.
Former DC 1177 Robert (Bob) Davis, formerly of Woodseats, the Force Drug Squad who, latterly, worked as an interview trainer at the Force Training Department. Bob has lived in Florida for some time and he passed away in the early hours of yesterday (5.5.19) after a long battle with Parkinsons Disease and, latterly, colon cancer.
Former PC 3190 Sharon Chapman, 61 years, passed away yesterday (14 April 2019) in Rotherham Hospice after a short illness. She was surrounded by her family. Sharon was a police cadet joining the regular force in 1976. She began her service in uniform at Hammerton Road Police Station, followed by postings to HQ Criminal Records and Antecedents Departments, after which she served at West Bar. She instructed first aid on a part time and then full time basis at the Force training centre followed by a return to uniform duties at Sheffield South and finally she worked with the Youth Offending Team prior to retirement in 2007. She was a former national police first aid champion. Sharon's funeral was held at on 1 May 2019.
Former Sergeant Robert Mason, 75 years died on Sunday 6 January 2019 after a short illness of cancer. He retired in 1992 as Sergeant working in Community Relations Doncaster having also worked in Maltby area. His funeral took place on 23 January 2019.
